Dr Galina Daraganova

Executive Director, Data, Evidence and Impact Services

Dr Galina Daraganova is an accomplished senior leader with nearly 2 decades of experience in health analytics and data integration. Dr Daraganova is passionate about cross-sector collaboration to translate meaningful data insights for better decision-making for healthcare policy and practice.

Prior to joining SEMPHN in April 2021, Dr Daraganova led several large national longitudinal studies at the Australian Institute of Family Studies on diverse population groups including children, males, humanitarian migrants and the military. She also provided strategic leadership for the development and implementation of the Data Linkage and Integrating Authority with a focus on the integration of various data sources to inform policy development.

Dr Daraganova holds a PhD in statistical modelling from the University of Melbourne where she maintains an adjunct research position. She is also currently serving on several national and international advisory boards and provides advice to the Australian Government Departments of Social Services, Health, and Defence.
