Dr Gowri Ratnavelar

Dr Gowri Ratnavelar is a general practitioner who has worked in various demographic areas for the past 25 years. She has sat on many health steering committees relating to cancer and immunisation and was involved in the curriculum development for fifth-year medical students studying general practice.

Dr Ratnavelar has taught and mentored Royal Australian College of General Practitioners Registrars, medical students from Monash and Melbourne Universities, and medical students at Melbourne Sexual Health Centre. She has also been an examiner for the past 20 years for the following bodies: AMc, RACGP and RANZCOG.

Additionally, Dr Ratnavelar has extensive experience assisting with refugee and asylum seekers' health.
