Andrea Edwards is a proud Gunditjmara woman with over 30 years’ experience in nursing. For the past 15 years, she has been a practice nurse at Prahran Market Clinic, which specialises in sexual, LGBTIQA+ and HIV health.

Andrea has extensive experience in general practice, community health, and the LGBTIQA+ community, with prior roles including: HIV consultant with The Royal District Nursing Service, Partner Notification Officer with the Department of Health and an in-home support coordinator with the Victorian AIDS Council.

Andrea has also served in voluntary board roles, including her local primary school council, Victorian AIDS and Gay Men’s Health Centre. As a mother of 2 daughters who are hard of hearing, she has firsthand experience in the disability sector and navigating NDIS.

Andrea is an accredited nurse immuniser and holds a Diploma of Applied Science and a Graduate Diploma in Advanced Nursing.
